Dr.'s visits, Teacher conferences, and cute snapshots

Always happy to take a ride on the train!

Abbey had a great checkup!  I'm so busy this year that I didn't even get her percentiles for height and weight.  But Dr. Feder always tells me she's perfect. :)

We had parent/child conferences at school this week for Ben and Josiah.  Both went great.  Josiah has had the most difficult transition because he was so far "behind" in reading due to his far-sightedness.  I was holding back tears as he enthusiastically showed us all he had been doing!  We were blocked off for twenty minutes but it took nearly an hour because Josiah kept volunteering to read something and wanted to show us everything.  His teacher, Mrs. Cucci, is amazing and so perfect for Josiah.  It was encouraging to witness.

Georgia and Abbey went shopping in the harbor with me, in matching snow suits. :)

Abbey has been wearing her Rappunzel braid quite a bit!

I took Ben to see Dr. Feder for his 8 year checkup, and again I didn't mark down the percentiles for his height and weight.  But I did get these shots of him doodling. :)

Thanksgiving

We went to Danny and April's beautiful new house in Yarmouth for Thanksgiving.  April's family was also there, so it was a neat blending of the families.  Plus we got to play and snuggle with Walter!  He was the center of attention.  April's niece ended up being a fun playfellow for my three.

Josiah and Ben were very impressed with Uncle Danny's big TV and enjoyed watching football with the men!

There was twice as much food as was needed.  April's family are all sweet.

Playing football with Uncle Danny.

Abbey brought her princess and fairy dolls to play with Walter. :)

Ben's 9th Birthday

When we planned Ben's birthday party, I told him it would be best to have his friends over on Saturday, but Ben wanted to have a party on his actual birthday as well, so we had Papa, Uncle Jim and Aunt Linda, and Dan and Pat from next door over for Taco Tuesday.

Daddy and Mommy got Ben a football board game and the Lego Book Bible.

Ben wanted a football party.  Almost all of his friends were dropped off without their parents, so this was the first party for us like that.

There was dancing,

there was football,

there were presents,

there was a piƱata,

and there was also some bullying while the boys were outside without Logan or me.  The party ended on a sour note and Ben was so disappointed.  He's been feeling more sensitive this year and I think he also had very high expectations for how amazing his day would be. :(

First Swim Class and Basketball Class

Abbey took her first swim class this weekend!  She loved it but will not put her face in the water.

And Josiah started basketball!

I love Abbey's drawing of a horse.  She later cut it up with scissors, so I'm glad I took this picture!

These pics go back to Papa and Grandma's visit.  Before church with Papa, and after church trick-or-treating through Target. :)

Fall snapshots

Ben helping me with dinner. :)

Whoops!  Caught an injury in this one!

Driving to clean a house near Barrett's Park.

Josiah had to go to Falmouth Pediatric Dentistry to have his cavities filled, and he got some laughing gas to cut the edge.  Poor kid was shaking like a leaf when we walked in but calmed right down when the gas started pumping. :)

Found this beautiful portrait in the boys' room.

Pulled into the house and found leaves everywhere!

Abbey is always prancing around. :)

Having dinner at Shawn and Amy's, who were watching a fire engine video with Shepherd.

Abbey found a big leaf!

I laid down in front of the fireplace and immediately became a couch for kiddos.
