Abbey's first dance recital was this weekend! There was a dress rehearsal Thursday evening and two performances, Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. By the end of the second show, we were all exhausted! Our little ballerina was so excited and thrilled to be involved.

The amazing Melissa, who chose music, choreographed 18 numbers, taught classes all year long in preparation, fitted and ordered costumes...and so many other things! I have no clue how she pulls this show off. She is spectacular with the kids, to boot!

It was so much fun for Logan and I to witness Abbey's excitement and joy in this process. For weeks afterwards, every time we went by the Boothbay Playhouse she would point to it and tell us, "That's my show!" And she continued to play in her costume and perform her numbers for anyone who asked. :)
