Whacky weather and other notables from Maine

Hello there friends! I took a hiatus from blogging while I recuperated from a long cold. I usually update our blog during Josiah's morning nap, but I have been napping too for the past two weeks. I feel the clowd lifting finally. So here are some snapshots of events gone by:

This is my children's choir on Easter Sunday. They sang "Amen!" and had a difficult time clapping together, which made the song a little comical. We were missing four kids that day. This past Friday, the blonde boy and girl both in green moved to Iowa. They were good little singers!
This group from our church left 4/11 and just returned yesterday from a mission trip to Uganda. They built a home for the Watoto orphanage, and visited AIDs clinics, impoverished villages, and a prison. My dad is holding Josiah in the picture, but we didn't let him take him along. :)

Ryan and Kelly visited us from Burlington, VT! It was so wonderful to see our good friends again and to show them around our new home. This was at Ocean Point 4/13, and the next picture is Ocean Point 4/14. Ryan and Kelly had to drive home in a nor'easter!
Most of the Boothbay Region was out of power for several days because of the nor'easter, but fortunately, we never lost ours. Logan was home from work for three days because Squirrel Island was without power.

This past Saturday was in the 70's, and we went to our first barbeque of the season at our friends' Ray and Fay Christy. Josiah had a blast playing outside with the Libby boys. Sunday, Logan preached a powerful message at our church. He is a very gifted teacher!!!

Thanks for reading our blog!!! :)

April notes

nursing his wound from having blood drawn :(

peeking outside

April 4th snowfall...over 12 inches!

cleaning up

We had a surprise snowfall overnight that left over a foot of beautiful snow. It would be so spectacular and glorious if it weren't supposed to be spring!!! The power is out over much of the peninsula and islands, so Logan has the day off from work. While Josiah is napping, we're sitting and watching 'The Illusionist.' This is my idea of a snow day!

In other news, Josiah is now walking around like a pro. He's very proud of his new talent. He especially loves to toddle around outside, picking up rocks and twigs as he goes.
