Fun on the Perquimans River

One day while we were in NC, we went over to Aunt Pat and Uncle Lou's home on the Perquimans River for swimming and jet ski fun.

Aunt Pat and Uncle Lou enjoyed watching the kids have fun!

We had a close call with a deadly poisonous snake!  It was wrapped up in the paddle boat lift, inches from where Logan had stepped!  Uncle Lou was able to shoot its head off with one shot.  Quite a lot of excitement for the kiddos!!! :)

Great Grandma sat and watched from the shade.

Fun on the Farm

We had a nice (though short) visit in NC!  We drove through the night Tuesday and drove through the night again Sunday to make the most of our time.

Papa's Retirement Party

Today was a special day!  Logan's father, Curtis, turned 70 and worked his last day at Reed Oil after 22 years of faithful service.  We drove through the night yesterday to participate in his surprise retirement party!
The boys were so excited to be at their Papa's party and to see their cousin Jared!

Abbey looked pretty in yellow:

When Papa arrived, he froze in complete wonder.  It was a full two or three minutes before he even moved as he stood there in the door.  We were afraid he was having a heart attack!

Mr. Reed and his sons had the meal catered and honored Curtis with speeches and a plaque.

Watershed Ceramics

Healthy Kids hosted a special workshop at Watershed Ceramics.  The kids had a great time making bowls and learning about ceramics. :)
