kristin asked me how benji's personality differed from josiah's, so i thought i'd blog a little about that. like any mother, i can't talk enough about my most spectacular accomplishments in life. :)
benjiman is sweet and cuddly, josiah was independent and 'nosy.' benji hates to sit all by himself and lights up with a cute 'orange slice' smile whenever someone starts to talk to him or picks him up. he's very easy going, except when he feels like his meals are being delayed.......then, no more mister nice guy. he screams bloody murder with huge tears, just within seconds of his realizing he was hungry. josiah was happy as long as he could bounce in your arms or a jumper. at four months old, josiah had begun to sleep 12 hours through the night, and we're not there yet with benji. at best, he's done 8 hours, and that was only once. it was still very exciting though. :) one of benji's favorite things to do is to watch himself in a mirror. he also has begun to tool around the house backwards in a little chair/walker thingy. he seems to be very proud of himself.
big news this week: josiah has graduated to a toddler bed!!! we picked one up at a consignment store because josiah has been climing out of his crib for four months (since benji was born) and we were just tired of the battle. he goes to bed easy now, and has even been sleeping in an extra hour or two in the morning!!! YAY!!!!!!!! :)
logan is recovering nicely from his hernia surgery. we've adapted well to his inability to lift over 10 lbs for the next month, so that he is still a big help to me. because i need lots of help!!! :) josiah had his two year dr.'s appointment monday, and is 32 lbs, and 34 inches tall. josiah got the stethescope from the doctor, put it on his ears, and listened under his own shirt. it was pretty comical. the doctor said he wished he had his camera, because he'd never had a kid do that before at 2 yrs old.
