Honoring Pastor Dan for 20 years of ministry

Our church usually has a potluck on fifth Sundays, so this week the board members invited people up to speak in honor of Dan's 20 years in ministry.  It was fun to hear everyone's memories and appreciation.  Dan and Lisa are so great, and North Harbor Community Church is amazing.  Fun morning.

May Snapshots

We watched Wallace and Lysander one afternoon and took them over to Hendricks Head Beach to play, which was fun until Josiah cut his big toe on a rock!

Needed a picture of Ben in his flat hat.  Ignore the ketchup between his eyes!

Strike a pose!  The boys found out they had won bikes from the library reading contest last summer!

Co-op field trip to Fort Popham and dinner with friends

We had a fun day at Fort Popham today with our homeschool co-op friends!  It was a beautiful day and there were five or six seals swimming nearby the whole time!

Then we had dinner with Amy, Georgia and Shepherd!  We hadn't seen them in a long while, with our company and then trip to NC.

Memorial Day Weekend with Grandma and Uncle Matthew's Family

We got to spend Sunday and Monday with Grandma, Uncle Matthew and Auntie Heather!  The kids were thrilled to see their cousins!
Josiah, Noah, Ben, Micah, Zach, Abbey and Caleb

We enjoyed our Mexican meals at Moe's after church.

Then hung out with the lizards afterwards:

On Monday, the kids anxiously waited around Grandma's apartment while Daddy ran payroll, before we met Matthew's family at a pool nearby after lunch.  I tried to keep them occupied at the small playground that morning, but they're always bored if there are no children to play with.

Finally, it was time to swim!

And have a Memorial Day cook-out!

The kids had a blast playing with their cousins.  They all get along so well and it is fun to see them play together!  Needless to say, they were devastated that we had to say goodbye and get on the road home the next day.

Although we didn't get pictures, we also met up with Clay and Larissa, Josh and Sarah, and Logan went to see Vandy and Lynn, so it was a very full weekend!

North Carolina Memories and a Perry Family Reunion

The kids had a fabulous trip to NC, with lots of fun adventures!  Here they are on the tractor that Papa drives for work:

Logan and I drove down Friday afternoon to Mom's in Wilmington and then drove to Princess Anne, MD on Saturday to meet Papa and Grandma and reunite with the kids!  We were all very excited!

The kids were sad to say to goodbye to Papa and Grandma after such a fun-filled eleven days, but they were also happy to see us.  Ben was wishing he had an extra week in NC, though!

So happy to be a family of five again!
