Josiah's Birthday Party

Josiah's first birthday party was last night! He was thrilled to be the center of attention. He had his own little chocolate birthday cake and a yellow sailboat cake to share with everyone. We had well over twenty friends and family come to celebrate our little man.

Look Who's One!!!

Josiah's actual birthday was Thursday, so here are a few pictures from that day and a couple as we prepared for his party. Grandma Perry and Great Grandma Logan made the long trip from NC and VA for J's big day.

valentine's day snow!

we had a beautiful snow fall on valentines day that turned into rain by nightfall and in the morning was five inches of ice over our entire drive. so logan spent two whole days home this week! he was going out of his mind, and can't understand how i can stay home all the time. here is a picture of logan after he had taken an axe to our drive, shoveling away masses of frozen snow. the plow couldn't even move it! logan is a machine. :) he is also a wonderfully romantic husband. we enjoyed dinner and dancing together after putting josiah (our little angel) to bed. last friday the deaconnesses at our church had a valentines banquet for the young couples that was much fun. they had several games and karaoke that made for many laughs. we are so grateful for all of our new friends in boothbay. God is always so good to us.

Happy February friends! This is the month of Josiah's 1st Birthday! Just three weeks away now. He took his first steps last week, running from the couch to my legs, just three steps away. He still is only taking a few steps, and we're not encouraging him to learn too soon! He's a handfull as it is. :)

Logan is going down to Massachusetts tomorrow to install a built-in bookcase. It has come out beautifully. I am blessed to have such a handyman around. We've got big plans for built-ins of our own and other renovations for our home. Maybe we'll have the time and money to do them some day!!!

We've been busy babysitting cousins and dogs in the last week as my parents have been on vacation. It will be so much more convenient for us all when they return! :)
